Pediatric/Adult Hand & Upper Extremity Rehab

Hand and upper extremity rehabilitation specializes in treating injury to the upper extremity including the shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist, hand, fingers and thumb.

 

Whether dealing with a congenital issue from birth, a recent injury or trauma such as a fracture, dislocation or burn, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), challenges from spasticity and/or joint contractures resulting from a neurological related condition such as a stroke or cerebral palsy or neuropathy impacting the upper extremity, our hand and upper extremity therapist team treats patients from birth to seniors with the main focus of  restoring and maximizing function, promoting healing, and scar and pain management.

 

Our team is trained and experienced in utilizing a variety of specialized interventions including custom splint fabrication, modality use including laser therapy, neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and stim pod device, manual therapy, taping and neuromuscular re-education techniques to help retrain the brain and arm to work together in a functional and efficient manner.
