A Bit About Me

I am a mother of three wonderful kids, a wife, an active member of our church and an occupational therapist experienced in treating patients with complex cases involving the hand and upper extremity. I have over 17 years of experience working with adult and pediatric patients with a variety of neurologic and orthopedic conditions.

My husband, Cedrick, and I have dreamed of working together in a practice with a brain based rehab approach for years. When our oldest child, Olivia, turned 13 months old, we discovered she had a stroke in-utero which caused her right side to be weaker than her left side. We both sought out more education and training of neurological based interventions in our respective fields as we sought to help her maximize function of the right side of her body and keep her brain and body as balanced and engaged as possible. God has blessed our situation by allowing us to not only provide intervention with her at a very young age which has made a remarkable difference but it has sparked a desire to continue to grow in the field of neuro based rehab which we incorporate into our current treatment model

I am passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain optimal function so they can be as independent as possible and engage in activities that bring joy and purpose to their lives. I strive to implement the most current practices and treatment interventions that demonstrate effectiveness in helping patients to achieve their personal goals. Over the years, I have developed an appreciation of the brain and body’s ability to continue to heal and adapt, even years after the onset of injury. This knowledge inspires me to continue to find ways to challenge the complex neurological system in order to develop new motor patterns and habits while decreasing compensatory patterns that have been established over time in order to maximize function and independence. I don’t believe in a one size fits all therapy approach and strive to take into account all patient and family factors in order to establish a realistic and effective treatment plan that has the highest potential for success. I desire more than anything for my patients to achieve success and support in all areas of their lives. I absolutely love seeing patients improve in ways that they didn’t believe possible as well as increase their confidence in all areas of their lives.
